Health Services at Southbank
A Star Health community nurse provides consults for Southbank’s residents in need of clinical care. This healthcare response is philanthropically funded by The Shine On Foundation.
At times, people experiencing homelessness need extra support and care to recover from substance use and alcohol dependencies. Our Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) support workers form part of a multi-disciplinary team that specialises in harm reduction and prevention. This voluntary AOD service is exclusively for Southbank residents.
To look after a client’s holistic health we also offer wellbeing activities such as art groups, reflexology, and acupuncture.
Peer Support Workers
Peer Support Workers help clients as they build capacity and develop skills in problem solving, build community connections, and access recreation, training and employment opportunities. Peer Support Workers have a lived experience of homelessness.
Launch Housing Southbank is located at 52 Haig St, South Melbourne.
