We give people in a housing crisis a supported pathway out of homelessness. Launch Housing offers Melbournians emergency shelter, crisis accommodation, specialist supports, and rough sleeping services so those at risk can secure a safe home.
To access our services your first step is to drop in or phone a Launch Housing Entry Point at Cheltenham, Collingwood, or St Kilda. Here you will be given an assessment, housing information and accommodation assistance.
Launch Housing operates Crisis Supported Accommodation at East St Kilda, Southbank, South Melbourne and Dandenong.
Launch Housing Southbank is a 51-bed crisis accommodation service in Melbourne. It offers short stays, case management, healthcare, and crisis supports to people in need of emergency accommodation and support. Southbank’s accommodation options include rooms for couples and singles.
Residents can use the communal kitchen, courtyard, lounge, dining and activities rooms. Southbank is a pet-friendly crisis accommodation service, and it has women only areas. Support staff are on site 24/7 to provide assistance and care for residents.
A Better Health Network community nurse provides consults for Southbank’s residents in need of clinical care. This healthcare response is philanthropically funded. To look after a client’s holistic health, we also offer wellbeing activities such as art groups, reflexology, and acupuncture.
At times, people experiencing homelessness need extra support and care to recover from substance use and alcohol dependencies. Our Alcohol and other Drugs (AOD) support workers form part of a multi-disciplinary team that specialises in harm reduction and prevention. This voluntary AOD service is available to Southbank residents.
Peer Support Workers, who have a lived experience of homelessness, help clients as they build capacity and develop skills in problem solving, build community connections, and access recreation, training and employment opportunities.

The Crisis Supported Accommodation service, located in the East St Kilda area, has proudly supported women in the Melbourne community since 1995, and its care is underpinned by a feminist, trauma-informed, framework.
This crisis supported accommodation service has 15 rooms for women, one of which is pet friendly and another for First Nations women.
LH Women Services provide a holistic, wrap around supportive approach for clients by helping them connect to healthcare, alcohol and other drug support, counselling and many other services.
In Dandenong, Bob’s Place offers crisis supported accommodation, case management including intensive case management, and advocacy to families, couples and singles experiencing homelessness in Melbourne. Accommodation options include four family units, six mixed single rooms, two rooms for couples and three women’s-only rooms.
Bob’s Place provides a holistic approach to support and care for clients, underpinned by a trauma informed approach, by helping them connect to healthcare, counselling and many other services. The site is staffed 24/7.
Bob’s Place also offers transitional housing and private rental assistance and helps to connect people to community support.
For at-risk children and their parents, enhanced case management is available to support a child’s educational, emotional, and physical wellbeing.

Launch Housing’s Rough Sleepers Initiative (RSI) provides an assertive outreach service to people sleeping rough in Frankston and Dandenong. RSI helps to support rough sleepers with an assessment, case management, and access to emergency shelter, crisis accommodation and housing.
The Dandenong and Frankston branch of the RSI works in partnership with Neami.

South Melbourne is a crisis accommodation service for children and families experiencing homelessness and/or family violence. Wraparound services are available on-site including case management to help families find safe and sustainable housing, outreach support and specialist programs for children like the Children Specialist Support Service, the Education Pathways Program and co-located community services.
